
The death toll from the Gen Z protest has reached 8, authorities confirmed on Monday.
According to police and hospital sources, five people died while undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Center, while two others succumbed to injuries at the Civil Hospital.
Similarly, police sources have confirmed that one person died at the gate of the Parliament House.
Security officials said a team has been dispatched to the locations to collect documents and begin the process of identifying the deceased. So far, the identities of the victims have not been made public.
A senior police officer stated that the situation remains tense in the area, with additional forces deployed to maintain order. Authorities are urging the public to remain calm as investigations continue.
