Deukhuri (Dang), July 20: A person has died after being accidently run over by a parked vehicle in Deukhuri.
Rajesh Kumar Baniya, 21, of Sunkholi, Lamahi Municipality-5, died this morning in the incident, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Shah of the District Police Office.
The incident reportedly took place when a support placed on the rear tire of a pickup (Lu. 3 Cha. 4814) parked in front of his house was removed. The vehicle rolled back leaving Baniya seriously injured.
Although he was immediately rushed to Lamahi Hospital, he passed way in course of treatment. An investigation has been launched into the incident, police said.
