Bollywood Star Shah Rukh Khan Makes Met Gala Debut In Style

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan attends his first-ever Met Gala.

Khan made his Met debut in a floor-length black wool coat with Japanese horn buttons, wide lapels and a peak collar designed by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The look was complemented with several bold accessories, including a large sparkling “K” dangling from a chain and a tiger head cane crafted in 18k gold, tourmalines, sapphires, and diamonds.

Shah Rukh Khan shared the reason behind his debut on the red carpet.

“I have little kids who are very excited about the Met,” he said with a grin. “I don’t know if I would have come here on my own, but when Sabya suggested it, they went ‘wow’. I still don’t know if that was ‘wow, they called you’ or ‘wow, you’ll be good on it’.”

The 2025 Met Gala Celebrating "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 05, 2025, in New York City.
