Kathmandu, Jan 7: The Kathmandu Valley felt tremor early morning.
The earthquake that struck Shigatse, China, at 6:50 Nepal Time caused the quake that happened this morning.
A 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Shigatse of Xizang Region this morning, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 28.5 degrees north latitude and 87.45 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km, said a report issued by the CENC.
The quake was felt across several countries, including China, Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
