Kathmandu, Dec 16: Nepal has defeated Pakistan by six wickets in U-19 Women's T20 Asia Cup.
In the match held at Bayuemas Oval Cricket Ground at Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia on Monday, Nepal chased the victory target of 105 runs in 19 overs at the loss of four wickets.
For Nepal, Captain Puja Mahato scored 47 runs with three boundaries in 47 runs while Soni Pakhrin contributed 13, Simana KC 12, Sana Prabin 10 and Sabitri Dhami eight runs.
Towards bawling, Pakistan's Fatima Khan and Quratulain took one wicket each.
Earlier, elected to bat first after winning the toss, Pakistan gathered 104 runs at the loss of five wickets in allotted 20 overs. Komal Khan made 38 runs with two fours in 44 balls while Maham Anees 29 (not out), Ravail Farhan 13, Captain Zoofishan Ayyaz 12, Fatima Khan six (not out) and Areesha Ansari one run.
Similarly, Captain Puja Mahato took two wickets as well as Rachana Kumari Chaudharu, Riya Sharma and Simana KC one wicket each.
With this victory, Nepal has entered the Super 4 of the Asia Cup.
