Barahathawa (Sarlahi), Nov 10: A school principal has been seriously injured in a firing opened by an unidentified gang in the district on Sunday.
Teacher Prem Bahadur Bomjan was shot on the bank of Bagmati River in Hariharpurgadhi rural municipality-6 bordering Sarlahi and Sindhuli districts.
Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police at Area Police Office, Karmaiya, Kamal Bahadur Shahi, informed that Bomjan received injury on his face.
Bomjan is the principal of Buddha Secondary School, Hattisude in Makwarnpur. He is a permanent resident of Botgaon from Bagmati rural municipality-1 of Makwanpur district.
A team mobilized from the Area Police Office had reached the incident site immediately after the Office got information.
After initial treatment at Bagmati Modal Hospital, the injured teacher has been taken to Bara for further treatment.
The principal was returning home after visiting his relatives at Gaiyatar of Rautahat district. He was riding a motorcycle (Na 40 Pa 6646). Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
