Altogether nine road sections have been completely disrupted due to floods and landslides and other reasons while 159 road-sections have been operating one-way.
According to the statistics released by the Department of Roads, the Dumre-Beshisahar-Chame, Tansen-Ridi-Korala, Pushpalal (Mid-Hill Highway)'s Baglung, Doti and other road sections have been completely blocked.
The Department said that it was coordinating efforts with the security personnel to remove the landslide debris in those places where traffic movement has been halted due to landslides.
It has advised one and all not to consider travelling at night during the monsoon due to high risk of landslides and floods.
Similarly, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that there was possibility of light to moderate rainfall coupled with thunderstorm and lightning in some places in provinces such as Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpachim and few places in remaining provinces within next 24 hours.
Heavy rainfall is predicted in one or two places in provinces such as Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim. The Department has urged one and all in those areas to remain highly alert and take necessary precautions in view of the risk of monsoon-induced disaster.
