Nepal has defeated the UAE by six wickets in the first match of the MCC Women's Asia Cup.
The UAE set a target of 116 runs, which Nepal fulfilled in 17.1 overs with 118 runs in today's match at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka.
Samjhana Khadka of Nepal scored 72 runs to get her first international half-century. She completed the half-century with 11 fours.
Pooja Mahato scored seven runs. Nepal's Sita Magar scored 7 runs, Ruvina Chhetri 10 runs, skipper Indu Burma 6 runs, and Kavita Kunwar 2 runs.
Burma pulled three wickets for 19 runs in four overs. Shavanam Rai and Kritika Marasini grabbed one wicket each.
