An arrest warrant has been issued against 20 persons including former officials of the Bal Mandir in connection with embezzlement of land belonging to the Bal Mandir, a charity on children.
Spokesperson at the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, SP Hovindra Bogati, informed that the arrest warrant was issued after taking permission from District Court, Kathmandu as the former officials of the charity and members of business houses were found using the charity's land for business purposes.
SP Bogati further said a complaint was lodged at CIB against the people involved in the land dispute of the Bal Mandir on Thursday. They have been accused of causing loss to charity as the land was given on lease at low cost. Even the lease contract was renewed clandestinely.
Around 28 ropani 5 anna and one paisa of land at Naxal was leased as per the last contract.
