The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has banned operation of 'AS-350 B 3 E' helicopters of two airlines companies for violating aviation rules.
The CAAN grounded the helicopter of Shree Airlines and Fishtail Air reasoning that it violated the aviation rule by conducting flights during adverse weather at Lukla region.
Information officer at CAAN, Gyanendra Bhul, said that three helicopters of these two airlines were banned from flying because they violated the rule to be grounded during adverse weather.
The helicopters conducted flights where the visibility was not even 100 meters. It was against VFR rule, Bhul added.
