Warehouse Of Ready Trade Raided, One arrested In Recent Gold Scam

A team of Department of Revenue Investigation raided a warehouse of Ready Trade Pvt Ltd located at Sorhakhutte, Kathmandu, on Wednesday.

The team seized some cartoons of 'brake shoe' from the warehouse, said Director General of the Department, Nabaraj Dhungana.

Around 100 kilogrammes of gold confiscated from Tribhuvan International Airport on July 19 was brought in the name of Ready Trade Pvt Ltd. The Department raided the godown on suspicion of hiding gold.

Meanwhile, the Department also arrested Dinesh Tamang of Nuwakot district on Wednesday on the charge of his connection to the recent gold scam, added Dhungana.

The number of persons arrested in the case has reached 17 so far.  Investigation into the case and search for other accused is underway, according to the Department.
