Sita Dahal, spouse of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has been cremated with the state honor at the Aryaghat on Wednesday afternoon.
Prime Minister Prachanda lit the funeral pyre with daughters Renu and Ganga Dahal.
The Nepal Army presented a state honor to the late Sita Dahal.
Sita Dahal's body was previously kept at the CPN (Maoist Center) headquarters at Paris Danda for tributes.
Dahal was also the advisor of the CPN-Maoist Center.
Suffering from Parkinson's, Sita Dahal was ill for a long time. She was admitted to Norvic Hospital after she developed complications in her health. She was 69.
