CPN-UML leader Mahesh Basnet has claimed that former home minister and party secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi was arrested on the party's order.
"Following the order issued by UML to assist with the investigation, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has approached the police," Basnet said. "We request that the Nepal police conduct a thorough investigation and bring all criminals to account."
Rayamajhi was arrested at his relative's home in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, on Sunday evening in accordance with the District Court's arrest warrant.
