A Nepali school has been launched, targeting the children of migrant Nepali, who are born and brought up in Europe.
The school is begun with the joint coordination of Nepali Women's Society, Portugal; and International Nepali Literature Society, Portugal. It began classes from Saturday.
The school was launched virtually on the occasion of New Year 2080BS.The online school has attendance of 31 children of Nepali migrants living in Denmark, Portugal, Britain, Norway, Belgium and others. The teaching-learning is conducted via Zoom platform.
In the virtual programme, Chairwoman of Nepali Women's Association in Portugal, Sita Shrestha; Joint Coordinator of NRN Europe chapter, Tilak Gaire; Chairwoman of International Nepali Literature Society in Portugal, Sabi Shrestha; Secretary Goma Regmi; and General Secretary of Nepali Women's Association, Punam Gautam, extended best wishes to the Nepali school.
The virtual class to be run from Nepal is conducted for two hours every Saturday.
In the school, the students will gain basic theoretical and practical knowledge on Nepali language in addition to Nepali art and culture.
The organizing associations have said the children of migrant Nepalis from any country could attend the class.
