The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has urged temple visitors not to bring plastic materials, citing rising environmental pollution in the temple area.
Issuing a notice today, PADT informed the public of its decision to ban plastic items on temple premises as of today, citing it as a major source of pollution in the area.
It has requested everyone's cooperation to implement the decision. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation is running a three-month weekly cleanliness drive in the Pashupati region. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays, and the PADT has encouraged everyone to participate in the campaign.
