Insignia has been conferred to newly appointed Inspector General of the Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar.
IGP Kunwar has been decorated by the insignia on Sunday amid a programme organised at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A cabinet meeting on Friday had decided to promote AIG Kunwar to the IGP.
The newly appointed IGP stated that he will not compromise in the face of crime, criminal attitudes, and pressure. IGP Kunwar also expressed that he does not have the luxury of counting the days to improve the police administration.
Basanta Bahadur Kunwar is the 30th IG of the Nepal Police.
