The Nepali Congress has decided to back the Janata Samajwadi Party's Ramsahay Prasad Yadav in the vice presidential election.
This decision was made at the party's central executive committee meeting held today at the party's headquarters, Sanepa.
Congress spokesperson Dr. Prakasharan Mahat informed the decision to support Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, a common candidate on behalf of the 10-party coalition, in the election of the Vice President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
He added that NC will direct its members of the federal parliament and the members of the provincial assembly to support the vice presidential candidate, Yadav.
