Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized on the development of science and technology for the betterment of the country.
Prime Minister Prachanda said that the country cannot develop without the development of science and technology during a discussion with Mahavir Pun, the head of the Aviskar Center, at the Prime Minister's official residence on Tuesday.
'Nepal will not develop without advancement in the field of scientific invention,' said the Prime Minister, 'Those who invest and progress will last, those who don't will not.'
The team led by Mahavir Pun, head of Aviskar Center, informed the Prime Minister about the role played by the organization in the field of science and technology for the development of Nepal.
Pun furthermore added that this sector should be given priority on behalf of the state.
Chairman of National Planning Commission Min Bahadur Shrestha, Head of Science and Technology Department of CPN (Maoist Centre) Ganesh Shah, General Secretary Dev Gurung and others were present in the discussion.
