The top leaders of the ruling coalition partners have discussed on making the works and activities of the government more effective and people-oriented.

A meeting of the High-level Political Mechanism convened at the Prime Minister's official residence at Baluwatar today held important discussions chiefly on making the government's works effective and further strengthening the partnership among the ruling coalition partners, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Rajendra Lingden.

"The parties in the ruling coalition reviewed making the government's works and activities more effective and amend the obtaining shortcomings. Serious discussions have also been held on the topic of making the existing collaboration stronger in the coming days," said DPM Lingden, who is also the Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

The meeting also deliberated on bringing the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) back into the government. The Party had recently left the government.

"The RSP is likely to join the government at an appropriate time. There are some technical issues and discussions are on for sorting them out," he said.

DPM Lingden said that the meeting did not discuss on the upcoming Presidential election.
