President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stressed the need for all to focus on development activities and prosperity of Nepal, in her address to the joint meeting of the National Assembly and the House of Representatives today.
President Bhandari said there was a need to seek a solution to economic problems in the country.
For economic improvements, she underscored the need for coordination among all state bodies to increase domestic production.
"There should be easy availability of fertilisers, seeds, technology and equipment putting agricultural product at the center."
Emphasising a need to create full-time job opportunities in agriculture, the President also praised industries for playing an important role in reducing poverty in country by creating employment opportunities.
There should cooperation between the public and private sectors to create job opportunities within the country so as to end the trend of seeking foreign employments, she said.
President Bhandari also emphasized on quality education and viable curriculum, teaching and learning activities.
