A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has occurred at 2:43pm this afternoon.
The epicentre of the temblor was in Bajura district of Sudurpaschim Province.
The powerful tremor was also felt in Kailali and Dhangadhi districts, sending people out of their homes in panic.
So far there are no reports on the losses caused by earthquake are awaited.
