All-party meeting summoned by Speaker Ghimire begins

An all-party meeting of the political parties represented in the House of Representatives called by Speaker Devraj Ghimire has begun.

The meeting is taking place at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhurba Bahadur Pradhan, CPN (UML) leader, Subas Nembang, Hitraj Pandey of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress, Ramesh Lekhak, Chief Whip of CPN (Unified Socialist), Prakash Jwala, Chief Whip of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi, Chairperson of Rastriya Janamorcha, Chitra Bahadur KC and Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party are attending the meeting.

Speaker Ghimire called the all-party meeting for the first time after his election to the post. He was elected to the post of Speaker on January 19. Today's HoR meeting has an agenda to elect Deputy-Speaker.
