Bodies of two missing in Dhaulagiri found

Bodies of two youths who went missing at Dhaulagiri hill area in course of the mountainous trekking were found after three months.

Dev Lama, 28, of Sindhupalchowk and Bal Kumar Karki, 27, of Solukhumbu went missing while trekking along the Dhaulagiri mountainous route three months ago. They had gone for adventurous trekking through the 'Four Season Mountain Treks'.

The trekker duo went disappeared after falling in to Kharpas of Dhaulagiri Mountain on last October 7.
On the initiative of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), the Four Season Mountain Treks brought the body of Karki to Kathmandu on Wednesday (January 18).

Lama's body was also found but it was difficult to bring the mortal remains to Kathmandu, shared operator of Four Season Mountain Treks, Basanta Limbu.

Karki and Lama were disappeared in the mountain when there was snowfall and their bodies were found while snow was gradually melting.

TAAN Chairperson Nilhari Bastola informed that the body of deceased Karki was airlifted to Pokhara through a helicopter of Air Dynasty and then transported to Kathmandu in a van.

Likewise, efforts are underway to bring the dead body of Lama since this morning, he shared.
The body of Karki has been kept at the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem procedure.
