
Kathmandu, July 14: Remittances worth over Rs 2120.80 billion have been received in the country in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year 2082-83 BS (2025-26).
According to the 'Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation Report of the Country' based on 11-month data released by Nepal Rastra Bank on Monday, remittance inflow has increased by 38.2 percent to reach Rs 2120.80 billion in the review period.
In the given time, remittances increased 38.2 percent in NPR terms and 29.6 percent in USD terms.
According to the central bank, remittances of Rs 203.89 billion entered alone in the month of Jeth (May-June) of the current fiscal while it was Rs 176.32 billion in the same period last fiscal year.
Last fiscal year, the remittances inflows had increased by 12.8 percent, the report states.
