
The ruling coalition of the CPN-Maoist Centre and the Nepali Congress has collapsed.
The official information was released following the UML secretariat meeting. Following the meeting, UML Vice President Surendra Pandey informed, the government will change and a new Council of Ministers will be formed today.
The partnership with the Congress ended following an agreement reached between the CPN-UML and the Maoist Centre on the issues of transitional justice and the election of Speaker of the National Assembly.
Now, CPN-UML, RSVP, RPP, and JSP will join CPN Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda's administration.
The UML secretariat assembled in Balkot and resolved to send Padam Giri to the government as CPN-UML minister. Giri, UML's chief whip, formerly served as health minister.
