The CPN-UML Chairman, KP Sharma Oli, has said that his party is being attacked.
On Saturday, addressing the third meeting of the Nepal Intellectuals Council in Bhaktapur, Oli stated that intellectuals must be free of illusions as people are being mislead, misled, and insulted.
Oli remarked that some academics predicted UML would lose the election, but the outcomes proved them wrong. 'The opponents are attempting to mislead the public,' he added. It is intellectuals' responsibility to liberate people from illusion. Individuals are being harassed and threatened; spread the word.'
Oli compared it to a train compartment and an engine, arguing that the engine represents an intellectual individual.
