Mustang, Aug. 31: As the Bhotekoshi flash floods fully destroyed the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung check point and roads along the Nepal-China borders in Rasuwa district, the goods carrying trucks have been sent to Korala point in Mustang district.
Altogether 66 goods-laden trucks were reported from the check post of the Armed Police Force, Nepal in Jomsom, Mustang, on Sunday evening.
Officials said that the number of trucks carryings goods from China has increased through the Korala check point after the road obstruction in Rasuwa district.
The government has started operation of the Korala customs point as an alternative check point, which collected Rs 6.92 billion in revenue in the fiscal year 2082/083 BS.
Likewise, this customs point collected Rs 290 million in the first month of the current fiscal year and is run by 12 officials despite the posts of 18 officials, Chief of Mustang Customs Office Bidur Chudal said.
