Kathmandu, August 13: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has denied 'rumours' suggesting that the government is planning to amend the law to legalise polygamy.
Addressing today’s session of the House of Representatives (HoR), the Prime Minister clarified that polygamy is not recognised under existing laws, and there are no plans to change that.
“It is completely untrue,” he said. “Such a law is unimaginable for those who have fought for democracy.”
