President Ramchandra Paudel has felicitated Dr. DR Upadhyay for acquiring a new world record by recording a song at Tilicho Lake.
During a program held at the President's Office, Sheetal Niwas, President Paudel congratulated him for achieving his aim. He remarked, "You accomplished your aim despite several difficulties and sorrows. I'd want to congratulate you on your excellent effort." President Paudel further added that such achievements in many disciplines will boost national pride.
Dr. DR Upadhyay, world-record holder composer and writer, and his crew achieved a new world record by recording a song at Tilicho Lake. The Guinness Book of World Records has certified that Dr. DR Upadhyay and team established a world record at a height of 5,105 meters.
Krishna Bhusal, a journalist, discussed experiences of the journey and establishment of the world record. He said that artist Shraddha Chhetri survived a serious accident while discussing her Tilicho Lake excursion.
The song has lyrics by Upadhyaya, the voice of Sagar Adhikari 'Sharad', and music by Santosh Shrestha.
